バロッサのシラーズというと、大きくて力強いワインという典型的なイメージがありますが、実際には地域によって味わいは大きく変わることがあります。

その多様性は100年前以上から栽培農家とワインメーカーズがよく把握していますが、それをさらに詳しく分析するために、2008年にバロッサ・グラウンズ・プロジェクトが設立されました。そこでは、各エリアの土壌、気候、傾斜、地形を分析して、テロワールはシラーズワインにどんな影響を与えるかを科学的に検証しました。

このセミナーは、バロッサの様々な地域から集められた希少な10種類のワインをテイスティングし、その味わいの違いを体験していただき、バロッサ・シラーズの多様性を理解していただくまたとない機会です。テイスティングワインは日本でとても入手困難なラインアップです！

Barossa Shiraz is typically associated with big, powerful wines, but in truth its style can vary widely from area to area.

While this diversity has been well understood by growers and winemakers for over 100 years, in 2008 the Barossa Grounds Project was established to systematize this knowledge and to expand it further. The soil, climate, slope, and topography of each district were scientifically analyzed and their impact on the variation of Shiraz style was carefully assessed.

In this seminar you will have the unique opportunity to taste 10 rare wines from the various grounds of Barossa, and to see by yourself how the style of Shiraz changes under different conditions. Most of the wines composing the lineup are very hard to find in Japan and they have been carefully chosen to showcase the diversity of the region.
