The seminar will begin with a brief overview of the topic and its importance. The science of oak aging will be discussed, with an explanation of how the wood influences flavor in spirits production. The different types of oak used in aging, such as American, French, and Hungarian, will be covered, along with the pros and cons of each.
The seminar will also explore aging techniques for spirits like whiskey, rum, and brandy, and the factors that impact the aging process. A tasting session with samples of oak-aged spirits will be followed by a conclusion summarizing key takeaways and future directions for research and development. The seminar will conclude with a Q&A session for the audience to ask questions.
