Orvieto DOC - The Magic and Mystery

Orvieto is a town in Umbria and a white wine appellation that straddles this region and Lazio.
Its history is ancient, dating back to pre-Roman Etruscan times, but the city is especially famous as one of the medieval Papal residences: the Popes liked to spend their time in Orvieto and to drink local wine, which wines was highly prized by both church clergy and nobility.

In this seminar Italian Wine Scholar and WSET Certified Educator Ettore Donadeo will guide you through the history and the geography of the area, the soils, the grape varieties and the many styles of wine made here, including noble rot wines, a unique specialty of this appellation.

The lesson is provided by the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini di Orvieto and the wines for taste are shipped directly from Italy.

Don't miss the chance to know more about this fascinating and little known appellation!

The seminar will be held in English
